Creating custom patterns is easy:

  1. Export current config: Click "💾 Export Config" button to save all grips and categories
  2. Edit the JSON file: Open the downloaded file in a text editor
  3. Add your custom grips: Copy existing grip format and modify:

⚡ How do Speed and Time buttons work?

Two speed controls for different effects:

  • ⏩ Speed 2x: Doubles the BPM (beats per minute)
    • Makes the rhythm 2x faster
    • Same total duration, more beats
    • Example: 60 BPM → 120 BPM
  • ⏱️ Time 2x: Halves the total duration
    • Pattern finishes in half the time
    • Same BPM, shorter duration
    • Example: 300s → 150s
  • ⚠️ Important: Changes apply to the next segment, not current one
    • If current segment is 300s (5 min), you must wait or click Stop
    • Speed changes take effect when next segment starts
    • Both buttons can be used together for 4x total speed!

🎨 How do I add custom themes/categories?

Add your own themed grip categories:

  1. Export config: Get your current configuration file
  2. Add category: In the "categories" section, add:

  5. Copy & paste: Take the pattern code and paste it into Arpy
